The
visa section of the French Embassy is open to the public
from
Monday to Thursday between the hours of 08.30 am and 11.30 am

The
site "Going
to France" will give you informations on the procedure and the documents
requested to apply for a visa. This site gives also access to different
application
forms for short and long stay visa .
IN
ORDER TO PROCESS YOUR APPLICATION, THE VISA SECTION OF THE FRENCH EMBASSY
REQUIRES FROM YOU :
A
- BASIC DOCUMENTS

a
filled and signed visa application form (in duplicate)

a recent
identity photograph
-
a valid
passport
-
an
airline return ticket, with your name
-
proof
of regular income, for example bank statement (in duplicate) or traveller's
cheques
-
sickness
and rapatriation insurance valid for France for the duration of your visit
(duplicate)

- IF YOU TRAVEL FOR BUSINESS, THE FOLLOWING ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS
:

proof
of your business activity such as a letter from your company or from your
employer (in duplicate)

a letter
from a French company inviting you (in duplicate)
-
a confirmed
hotel reservation (in duplicate)
C
- IF YOU TRAVEL FOR TOURISM OR FOR A FAMILY VISIT, THE FOLLOWING
ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS :

a confirmed
hotel reservation

an
"attestation d'accueil" signed by your friend or relative in France

- IF YOUR VISIT IS FOR OTHER PURPOSES OR FOR A LONG PERIOD
TIME, THE VISA SECTION WILL TELL YOU WHICH DOCUMENTS MAY BE REQUIRED FROM
YOU IN ADDITION TO THE BASIC DOCUMENTS.
