Style is everything — all days are to be fashionable; all choices are to be bold. The intention of life is to make it appear effortless, and fashion therefore is essential. No one could ever make you believe otherwise. No one could ever sway your truth. Design is imperative and all elements of it are to be followed.
And so you devote yourself to cloth. You study all trends. The whims of artists are to be vigorously upheld — and you do all you can to purchase what’s offered from the innovative capitals of Paris and London. You buy everything you can; you refuse only what you must; and the result is an ever changing wardrobe… and a weak bank account.
There can be no denying that fashion is important. It offers glimpses into personalities, gives a physical representation to moods and feelings. It defines us, offers our points of view to the world. And trends therefore are seen as ways to (most eloquently) express those views. They’re chosen for their unexpectedness — even if their nature demands that they only last for a short amount of time.
And that is the great concern of them.
Trends — while undeniably useful — are momentary. They fade away as quickly as they arrive, and individuals who have filled their closets with too specific styles will find themselves having to toss out items again and again. Many designs (even those with international stitches and patterns) simply don’t… last. They come; they go; they’re quickly replaced. And this must be understood.
Individuals are encouraged to experiment with fashion — but in limited amounts. Choose to form a wardrobe of pieces that are classic in nature, rather than fleeting; and then complement them with occasional trends as the year progresses. This will satisfy a need for style without demanding dollars.
Don’t rely on trends. Let them instead be supplements.
